| Both
the nipple sets and elbow sets are shipped with the left hand threaded
male and female ends fully engaged. Purple color coding on both
parts also help to identify the left hand sections. Also, a directional
label is affixed to the coupling as illustrated.

- To make
a connection, fully remove the elbow or nipple from the coupling.
- Align the
male ends correctly, i.e., purple to purple for the left hand
and silver to silver for the right hand thread, to the coupling.
- Slowly
rotate only the coupling until you feel you have thread engagement
on both ends. It is very IMPORTANT that you achieve thread engagement
on both male ends within one and one half turns of the coupling
for the system to be correctly assembled.
- Once the
males ends are engaged with the coupling continue to rotate
the coupling until tight.
- If a pipe
wrench or similar tool is to be used to secure the coupling,
it is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, that a second wrench or tool
be used to secure the standing (or the installed conduit) end
and prevent any movement when pressure is applied to the coupling.
